Netanyahu’s speech in N. America interrupted by pro-Palestinians

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was outraged while speaking Monday before the Jewish Federations General Assembly in North America when the audience interrupted the premier’s speech four times with remarks denouncing Israel and Netanyahu’s conduct in occupied Palestinian territory.

Several pro-Palestinians were escorted from the venue for shouting anti-Israel comments.

In a separate development, U.S. Congress passed a law allowing for one billion dollars worth of military equipment to be stored by Washington in Israel until the end of next year and 2.1 billion dollars worth of equipment until the end of the following year.

The American magazine Defense News reported Monday that the equipment is stored in Israel to be used by both the Israel and U.S. armies at times of emergency.

The U.S. military stored only 400 million dollars worth of equipment before the second war in Lebanon.
