IOF soldiers leave injuries on marchers in Beit Ummar

AL-KHALIL, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) cracked down on a weekly march against settlement activity in Beit Ummar, Al-Khalil, on Saturday leaving a minor severely burned while other marchers suffered breathing difficulties.

Eyewitnesses said IOF soldiers caused severe burns to the entire body of Mohammed Jamal Abu Hashim, 14, after an Israeli soldier tossed a gas bomb directly at him and it exploded over his limbs. He was transported to the hospital.

Media spokesman for the "Palestinian solidarity project" Mohammed Ayyad Iwad was hit in his right hand with a tear gas grenade during the march. Dozens of others sustained breathing difficulties after soldiers tossed tear gas grenades at them. The troops also assaulted two media photographers: Yusri al-Jamal and Hussam Abu Alan.

Marchers headed for an area along the Israeli Karmi Tsur settlement at noon and burned small models of Zionist settlements near the settlement’s wall in front of IOF soldiers.
