Security forces barbarically invade houses of peaceful petitioners including MB leader
Security forces in Alexandria engaged in a massive raid on the houses of 10 members of the Muslim Brotherhood involved in raising public awareness urging voters to sign the petition calling for seven demands for reform
Forces arrested MB leader Engineer Ali Abdul Fattah, Mohamed Kamal Khamis, Abu Farag Harun, Atef Abu Eid, Essam Ali, and Sayed Abu Al-Hassan, after barbarically breaking into their homes and the homes of others who were absent during the raid
In a statement to ‘Ikhwanweb” MB lawyer Khalaf Al-Bayoumi emphasized that “The arrests which took place at dawn revealed the system’s concern over the success and increasing public interest which have reached close to half a million signatures. He added that the success and wide attention has prompted the authorities to unjustly arrest and kidnap MB members involved in collecting signatures
Reports by Eng. Ali Abdul Fattah’s wife maintained that Special Forces and state security stormed into their house at three in the morning arresting her husband, searching the house and confiscating personal belongings, books and papers. She added that this is the seventeenth time her husband was arrested simply for being involved in the call for peaceful reform and political amendments in an effort to combat tyranny and corruption
He added that the wives and families of the Muslim Brotherhood pay their freedom as a price change in Egypt. She highlighted that the MB families have vowed to follow their cause and continue sacrificing in a peaceful manner demonstrating tolerance regardless of the invasions and continued searches of their homes and detention of their husbands
