Greek minister hails Gaza people steadfastness, 15 European MPs visit Gaza

GAZA, — The Greek minister of national economy has expressed admiration at the legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip during a meeting with visiting mayor of Khan Younis city Dr. Mohammed Al-Farra.

Farra highlighted the important and historic meeting with the minister who supported the democratic choice of the Palestinian people and reiterated refusal of the Israeli “oppressive” siege on the Gaza Strip.

Farra said that he briefed the minister on the suffering of the Palestinian people under occupation and the crises that engulfed the Strip as a result of the siege in the health and environment sectors.

He also spoke of the power outages and closure of crossings before construction material to rebuild what the Israeli occupation forces had destroyed during their repeated aggressions topped by the latest 23-day war on Gaza.

The mayor met with a number of MPs, leaders of political parties, and other officials during his visit.

Meanwhile, 15 European parliamentarians entered the Strip via the Rafah crossing on Thursday night and were received by a delegation of UNRWA.

The borders and crossings department said in a statement that the parliamentary team was visiting Gaza to get acquainted with the humanitarian conditions and results of the Israeli war.
