Taher Helmy, head of the U.S-Egyptian business Council, said that a U.S. Business Delegation met with the General Secretary of the NDP Policy Committee Gamal Mubarak at the party's headquarters in Cairo .

Taher Helmy, head of the U.S-Egyptian business Council, said that a U.S. Business Delegation met with the General Secretary of the NDP Policy Committee Gamal Mubarak at the party's headquarters in Cairo .

In his statement to Cairo 's newspaper "Al-Youm Al-Sabeh" [The Seventh Day], Helmy explained that the meeting discussed the recent development in the Egyptian Economy and the most important challenges facing the Egyptian economy in the future, including the development of human resources and the need to create national cadres able to meet the needs of the Egyptian market.

Eng. Sameh Fahmy and minister of Housing Ahmed El Maghraby shared their opinions in the forum's activities where they discussed the investment opportunities in Egyptian private infrastructure projects.

"The forum was co-hosted by Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif in addition to the ministers of trade, industry, electricity, telecommunications and finance. Discussions which took place in a closed meeting environment debated possible measures to enhance bilateral trade between Egypt and USA which reached USD 7.2 billion in 2009. They also negotiated means to double Egyptian exports to the U.S. side in accordance with the Ministry of Trade and Industry's plan to double the volume of exports during the next five years," Taher Helmy said.
