European campaign against Gaza blockade visits presidential palace in Warsaw

 

WARSAW, — A delegation of the European campaign to end the siege on Gaza visited the Polish presidential palace in Warsaw and briefed the representative of president Lech Kaczynski on the results of the latest visit made by the high-ranking European delegation to the Gaza Strip.

Head of the campaign Arafat Madi said in a statement that the delegation explained during the meeting the humanitarian suffering of the besieged Gaza people and the power crisis related to fuel shortages.

Madi said that the representative of the polish president promised to table the issue of Gaza and discuss it with the European commission  stressing that the humanitarian situation in Gaza must not be subject to political conflicts.

He pointed out that the delegation also met with Polish lawmakers to explore avenues to follow up the issue of the blockade on Gaza and support the Palestinian rights.
