The fierce campaign against the students wearing veils continue as University officials ban over 20 students from taking their tests simply for wearing protective facial masks. The same measures took place in the Cairo, Ein Shams and Fayoum Universities.

The campaign led by Dr Adel Zayed surprised the girls and despite the students allegations that they were wearing the masks simply to protect them from the H1N1 virus officials continued in their adamant stance to deny them entry. This was a complete defiance to orders which were given to protect all students and to offer necessary protection against the escalating incidents of the virus.

The students asserted that they would file appeals challenging the Minister of Higher Education and each  University's respective Presidents for violating their rights to protect themselves and from banning them from entering the exam simply for choosing to protect themselves stressing that the inappropriate conditions of halls due to overcrowding during tests is what prompted them to wear the protective masks.
