Hamas: Settler’s attempt to attack Aqsa part of Zionist scheme

GAZA, (PIC)– Hamas has opined that the Jewish settler’s attempt to attack the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem at dawn Sunday was not a unilateral step but rather fell in line with a well organized Israeli plot to control the holy site.

Fawzi Barhoum, a Hamas spokesman, told the PIC on Sunday that the attempt is the latest in a series of attacks targeting the Aqsa in a bid to impose Jewish sovereignty over the holy site after destroying it.

He regretted that the Arab and Islamic positions did not live up to the dangers threatening the Aqsa nor the Zionist threats against the Palestinian people.

The Arab and Islamic masses are not absolved of responsibility because they could organize numerous activities and rallies that would expose and bridle the Zionist scheme, Barhoum elaborated.

The spokesman emphasized that the Zionist "terrorist" act sounds an alarm bell for all Arabs and Muslims mainly that the Aqsa is in real danger and that all Zionist schemes against it have been uncovered, which necessitate protection and support on the part of all.
