Torture: A strategy of Egypt’s police force.
The World Organization Against Torture (OMCT) and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), in the context of their joint program, the Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders, acknowledged an upcoming press conference to announce its annual report on the situation of human rights defenders all over the world particularly in the Middle East and North Africa.

The World Organization Against Torture (OMCT) and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), in the context of their joint program, the Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders, acknowledged an upcoming press conference to announce its annual report on the situation of human rights defenders all over the world particularly in the Middle East and North Africa.

The conference will be held on Monday July 27, 2009, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights at noon.

The Special Reporter on the Human Rights Defenders of the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights, Rennes Alabn Jasso, Secretary General of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) Hafez Abu Sa"ada and George Assaf, Assembly member of the World Organization against Torture (OMCT) along with George Assaf will speak at the Conference.
