Khudari calls for forming European parliamentary committee against siege

MP Jamal Al-Khudari, the head of the popular committee against the siege, has called for forming a European parliamentary committee to break the siege on the Gaza Strip and to activate international relations to pressure Israel to end its blockade.

In a statement issued by his office on Tuesday and a copy of which was received by the PIC, MP Khudari called on European officials to visit Gaza and extend a helping hand to the besieged Palestinian citizens there, noting that the reconstruction of Gaza cannot be initiated without a full opening of crossings.

According to his office, MP Khudari continues his meetings in London with a number of British lawmakers and officials to brief them on the impacts of the last Israeli war and the siege on Gaza.

The statement said that the lawmakers who met Khudari were eager to know what happened in Gaza and the conditions of besieged citizens especially after the Israeli war.
