Report: Israel killed 1,434 Palestinians most of them civilians during Gaza war

Investigations conducted by the Palestinian center for human rights revealed that the last Israeli war on the Gaza Strip claimed the lives of 1,434 Palestinians including 960 civilians and 235 resistance fighters.


In a statement received by the PIC, the center said that the IOF troops used excessive and indiscriminate military force during the aggression on Gaza, citing as evidence the big difference between the number of deaths in the ranks of civilians and resistance fighters.


“The investigations confirm that 960 Palestinian civilians in total were killed including 288 children and 121 women in addition to the martyrdom of 239 police elements, 235 of them were martyred as a result of air strikes on the first day of the aggression on the Strip,” the statement underlined. 
  
It pointed out that 5,303 Palestinians, the vast majority of them civilians, were also wounded including 1,606 children and 828 women.


The statement stressed that Israel committed flagrant violations of Geneva agreements and war crimes against humanity, calling for opening an international investigation into these crimes and into Israel”s administration of its military operations during the war.
