Abul Fotouh: MB Supports Justice Yet Rejects ICC

Dr. Abdel Monem Abul Fotouh (Member of Muslim Brotherhood and Bureau Secretary General of the Arab Doctors Union) has emphasized, in an exclusive statement to Ikhwanweb, the support of MB to justice and the trial of any one who abuses or violates human rights and the rights of his people, addeding, “we wish the capture of all dictators who terrorize their own people in the Arab and Islamic world, pointing out to MB’s rejection to the ICC decision to arrest Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir”.

He explained that the court’s decision was designed to force the Sudanese regime to kneel in order to achieve economic purposes in Darfur. He added ” the decision to arrest Al-Bashir is a message to those who oppose the American hegemony, he carried on saying “if this decision was really fair then why didn’t the ICC consider the massacre in Gaza? what about Bush who killed million Iraqis and displaced other four million ?”.

Abul Fotouh referred to Darfur’s visit by the delegation of Arab doctors and many other medical delegations on 2005 and they did not find any of what was said about the existence of genocide or mass rape.

“reports of Arab doctors affirms that Darfur suffers from poverty and instability like southern Sudan and many countries in the world” said Abul Fotouh.

It should be noted that the ICC has issued it ,yesterday March 5, 2009, an arrest warrant for the Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir with charges of involvement in acts of torture, rape, cleansing and war crimes in Darfur western region .
