Egypt`s Muslim Brotherhood thanks Turkey’s Erdogan

A group of 10 MPs from Egyptian Parliamenti including members of Muslim Brotherhood and independents, visited Turkey`s Cairo ambassador Safak Gokturk to show their gratitude and regards towards Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan`s stance over the Gaza debate with Israeli President Shimon Peres in Davos meeting.

MPs said Erdoğan`s reaction was a historic one.

Independent MP Cemal Zehran stated that Erdogan`s attitude came before interests and principals; and it is never going to be forgotten just like some Latin American leaders` attitudes during the Gaza offensive.

One of the Muslim Brotherhood MPs, Cema Kura, reminded that Ottoman sultan, Abdulhamid the Second did not give up Palestine although he was offered 45 million pounds centuries ago.

Kura added Erdoğan`s behaviour was the continuation of the same insight.

Erdogan walked off stage at a panel discussion on Gaza at the World Economic Forum after tension were heightened between the Turkish premier and Israeli President Shimon Peres.

Erdogan declared to the Israeli president: “Your voice is high and I know it is because of a psychology of guilt. When it comes to killing, you know very well how to kill. I know very well how you hit and killed children at the beaches.”

Erdogan said that “You have prime ministers who had said they felt quite happy when they entered in Palestine on tanks.”

Erdogan also lashed out at the audience who applauded Peres after his speech: “I also condemn those people who applaud this cruelty. I believe that applauding the people who killed children is a crime against humanity.”
