Fayyoum Prosecution Decides To Release Blogger Khairi

Fayyoum Prosecution, headed by Chancellor Abdul Hai Fazourah (Attorney General in Fayyoum) decided on Wednesday to release the blogger Mohamed Khairi after referring him to Fayyoum Prosecution.

Egyptian Security Service, headed by Major Amr Al Hemaili (officer in State Security Service in Fayyoum), raided the house of blogger Mohamed Khairi in the city of Fayyoum at dawn last Monday, and inspected the house thoroughly then arrested him.

Mohamed Khairi was first arrested last October 22 because of his participation in the people”s campaign to lift the siege on Gaza Strip, but he was released after the decision of Fayoum Prosecution to imprison him for 15 days. He has been arrested twice in less than a month.

Some human rights organizations have strenuously criticized the Egyptian security agencies, especially after the campaign of detentions that affected many Egyptian bloggers last month, because of their activities on the Internet and exposing the repressive practices of the system and its violations of human rights.
