MP Saleh: MB Bloc Elections…A Model of Inter-Brotherhood Elections

Sobhi Saleh (member of MB parliamentary bloc Secretariat) emphasized that the strong competition witnessed during the MB bloc elections for the leading posts indicated the variety of leaders the bloc has as well as change visions that changed 40% of the bloc”s office.


He said that such a competition indicates the regular democracy within the Muslim Brotherhood through fair and free elections. “This is the fair elections the Brotherhood members enjoy within the group since it is the publicized part of the group”s election process,” he added.


Muslim Brotherhood parliamentary bloc ran elections bringing about Dr. Mohamed Saad El Katatni as the head of the bloc by 51% votes and Mohamed Hussein Ibrahim as vice- head of the bloc after run-off election with Sobhi Saleh. Secretariat office also witnessed heated elections among the MPs leading to the election of five members other than the head and vice-head.
