MB in Syria Condemn American Attack

In their statement which Ikhwanweb obtained a copy of, the MB in Syria fully condemned the American attack on Syria in all its strategic, national, and humanitarian dimensions, and held the Syrian government fully responsible for the country”s protection as they held the international society responsible for respecting state sovereignty and people”s rights.

Similarly, the statement described the Syrian government”s stance as shameful and intentionally negligent, exposing the country to easy access by anyone.

The following is the text of the statement:

Statement by the MB of Syria

Where are the protectors of our homeland?!

Since the American occupation stepped on the Iraqi land, we lost our neighbor who was our protection and support.  In fact, by virtue of strategic customs, an empty gap had been created and a new battlefront was opened posing a threat which officials responsible for the country”s security and protection should make a priority to avoid, take precautions against, and monitor.

But here we are today, paying the price of shameful intentional negligence as every spot in our country has become exposed to and easily accessible by anybody.  The Israeli Mossad performs a blast operation in Damascus; Israeli planes bomb Dir El-Zour; and American forces break through and attack Syria”s Eastern borders killing innocent civilians.  In spite of all this aggression, the response was mere condemnation and retaining the right to respond later.

Fellow Civilians..

The question that our people have not found a clear answer to until now is:  How could that happen?!  Where are the protectors of our homeland who should be staying up all night for the country”s safety?  How did the Israeli Mossad break through to the heart of Damascus and planes reach Dir El-Zour? How did the American forces break pass the borders, bring down their units on our land, and kill our fellow civilians without being confronted by our air forces or army, or find even one person standing up to them as Yusuf El-Adhma did when he was confronting the Ghuru army on the Great Mayslun Day?

Condemnation and threats through retaining the right to respond no longer mean anything but carelessness. The country”s protection (of both land and people) is a major responsibility.  Hence, the neglect of this responsibility deserves condemnation just as much as the American aggression.

We, the MB in Syria, fully condemn the American attack on Syria in all its strategic, national, and humanitarian dimensions as we hold the Syrian government fully responsible for the country”s protection.  We also hold the international society responsible for respecting state sovereignty and people”s rights.

We further warn that the loose approach adopted, within the framework of appeasement, in confronting with external assaults and violations may expose the country to more threats to its national security and vital existence.

We pay our condolences to the families of the civilian martyrs and to the honorable people of Syria..

And peace be to the protectors of our homeland..
