Egyptian Security Forces Control Borders with Gaza, Palestinian Deported

Egyptian security forces are nearly controlling over Rafah border crossing with Gaza Strip, said Palestinian security sources and eyewitnesses.”The Egyptian authorities are in full control over the border crossing and they give no access to any Palestinian to cross it into Egypt and they are deporting all Palestinians who entered it” said the sources, adding that the Egyptian authorities have managed to seal off most breaches which Palestinian militants caused several days ago.The Egyptian northern city of Al-Arish is nearly empty of Palestinians. Security forces moved to nearby city of Sheikh Zweid and took the same measures, said German news agency.

In a related context, Cairo has intensified its contacts aiming to tell the international community of the latest developments in Palestine, specially developments of the situation in Gaza and the developments in the Egypt-Gaza border crossing.Hossam Zaki, spokesman of the Egyptian foreign ministry, pointed out that Egypt”s key views over the current situation revolves around the fact that Israel must bear both legal and humanitarian responsibilities for the current deterioration which Gaza residents are currently experiencing, including the ensuing popular outburst and outpouring into Egypt. The Egyptian response to the Palestinians of receiving them and allowing them take their needs stems from the fact that these Palestinians are facing tough conditions”, said Zaki, pointing out that Rafah border crossing must work again in a way that allows Palestinian Authority workers and European monitors return to running it according to the Arab ministerial resolution issued last Sunday.
