He spoke also in his pleading about both Hassan Zalat and Dr. Essam Hashish and said the investigations about Dr. Hashish were mere lies. He said that the investigation report described Dr. Hashish as a teacher in the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University although Hashish is a professor and a department chief in the Faculty of Engineering. He added that his sequestered items contained no no money or transfers or even any evidence to indicate that he belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood.

He is actually a member in the Al-Wasat (Centre) Party which is well-known for its disagreements with the Muslim Brotherhood group. The lawyer indicated also the Prime Minister honored Dr. Hashish who won the State”s Appreciation Prize in addition to receiving the ideal doctor award in the faculty.
