Al-Shater’s 7-minute Military session Adjourned till Dec, 16th

The Military court session held on Tuesday Dec, 11th, 2007, trying 40 Muslim Brotherhood leaders topped by Khairat Al Shater, was wrapped up very quickly and the military judge adjourned it till Dec, 16th, 2007.
 
Tuesday”s session which lasted only 7 minutes was scheduled to start hearing the pleading the defence team members. Lawyer Ragaae Atiya was scheduled to start pleading for defendant engineer Khairat Al-Shater but he didn”t attend the session for health reasons.
The defence team asked the court to address some requests, which are including prosecution investigations in Al-Azhar incidents and the students testimonies in the case documents, and give the defence team access to the sealed companies owned by the defendant to bring papers that show the legality of the defendant”s positions and to photocopy the session minutes.
 
The Huckstepp-military tribunal witnessed a huge number of supporters who rallied outside the court to show their solidarity the top MB businessmen, university professors and leaders referred to this court nearly a year ago following a decision from president Hosney Mubarak. The supporters were carrying signs that included personal CVs of every detainee including the achievements they gave to the society.
