Khurrum and Rosalie Barred from Monitoring MB Military Tribunal

The Egyptian Security Forces have barred both Mr. Khurrum Wahid, a US well-known civil human rights activist, and Mrs. Nurah Rosalie P. Jeter, a US Top Human Rights activist, and Founder and Executive Director of the Muslim Women’s Institute for Research and Development (MWIRD), from monitoring the 15th session held for the court-martialed 40 Muslim Brotherhood leaders, including engineer Khairat Al Shater, the second deputy chairman of the group.
Khurrum, who is a former legal advisor to the board of directors of the US-Egyptian relations council, have stated to Ikhwanweb correspondent that preventing him from attending today”s session clearly proves that the court case is totally political!
He added, “The act made by the Egyptian government is a big mistake.”. He meant the act of denying access to all lawyers and HR activists from all over the world who came to monitor such outstanding political case of referring MB leaders to military tribunal.
Khurrum clarified that he came today to monitor the tribunal as a desire to watch the ongoing progress of the most distinguished political case in Egypt with no partiality to any party.
“Preventing us from attending today”s session proves the illegality of such session.”said Mrs. Rosalie P. Jeter, the US Human Rights activist.
She wondered, “What does the Egyptian government hide inside the court?! Prevnting us from attending the sessions is a clear proof that the government is hiding something wrong.”
Worth noting, Egyptian security authorities inside the military court have previously denied access to all Human Rights activists, lawyers, and other international delegates who came to monitor the military tribunal in which 40 MB leaders have been referred.
