Egypt Pro-Democracy Alliance Calls “Oust the Traitor.. Stop the Executions” Protest Week
The surrender of the islands of Tiran and Sanafir and the confirmation of the death sentence against 6 young Egyptians are two faces for one crime: treason – betrayal of the homeland and the people by one criminal, the brutal coup regime.
The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance reiterates its principled position of rejecting the surrender of sovereignty, the selling of the islands of Tiran and Sanafir and other Egyptian soil, the plundering of national wealth and relinquishing of Egypt’s historical rights in Nile water and East Mediterranean gas.
The Alliance renews its warning to all: the Egyptian people are not committed to any illegal agreements singed by the illegitimate coup regimes.
The Alliance also affirms it strongly rejects the unjust death sentences against 6 young Egyptians and other unfair sentences. Moreover, the Alliance asserts that the Egyptian people will not stand idly by while their sons are slaughtered before their eyes for no crime at all and without a fair trial. Anyone complicit in the shedding of this innocent blood will be held to trial for their crimes; and will receive fair and prompt punishments accordingly.
The National Alliance calls for a new revolutionary week entitled "Oust the Traitor.. Stop the Executions".
The Alliance appreciates the steadfastness of all the free patriotic citizens of Egypt since the July 3, 2013 coup. It also appreciates the revolutionary protests witnessed in Egypt during the past few days. The Alliance confirms that it will be with the rest of the Egyptian people, groups and individuals, shoulder to shoulder in defense of Egyptian land and dignity, and to denounce the spilling of young Egyptians’ blood with unfair death sentences. These two issues have indeed united the people of Egypt from across the political spectrum.
